Hi I'm Elder Mitchell Johnson

I like corn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest in my family, I have two older sisters, one of them is married and has a two year old, and the other one is studying to become a dental hygienist. I am currently serving a mission in the Des Moines Iowa mission while I wait for my visa to Brazil. I love this gospel and I love sharing it. I'm very athletic and a well-rounded person. I'm a fun-loving guy and I always love to meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this is the true church of God. I believe that everyone can come to this knowledge through prayerful study of the Book of Mormon. I was born into the church, so I was introduced to the church through my parents. Over the years, I have decided that this church TRULY is led by the savior and this is HIS kingdom on the earth today, through many spiritual experiences and personal revelations. This Church has been such a solid foundation for me in my life and it has led me down so may of the right paths, and I would not be the same person without it. The guidelines and rules that this church established in my life have helped me so much in keeping myself morally clean, and for that reason I can look at myself in the mirror and be proud of who I am and what I stand for. I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the ONLY church in the world that has the fullness of the everlasting gospel. I couldn't imagine myself being anything else.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Des Moines Iowa, and living my faith is the fore-front thing on my mind right now. I love this gospel so much and I love this opportunity that I have to devote ALL of my time to helping others come to the same knowledge that I have come to. Being a visa waiter has been a challenge. I have been temporarily serving in Iowa for 7 months while waiting, and at times it can be frustrating that I'm not where the prophet called me to go originally. At the same time I find great reassurance in the fact hat God is always watching out for us and there is a reason to everything He does. I am confident that I am in Iowa for a reason and that God has placed me here for a purpose. I plan on working as hard as possible while I am here and lifting where I stand. I love this gospel so much and so much of me wishes that the whole world could find out about the plan of salvation and eternal families. The Church is true!!!!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Elder Mitchell Johnson
Because we love this church so much! Gods church HAS to be a missionary church, and us missionaries proselyte so we can help ALL of God's children have the same happiness that we do! We proselyte to testify that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the gospel has been restored. We knock on your doors to help you! We love you! Show more Show less
