Hi I'm Megan

I love the outdoors. I have a fascination with severe weather and hope to one day chase tornadoes. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love being outside. I love being active and playing sports with my friends. I just finished my Freshman year of college. I have six nieces and nephews which I enjoy spending time with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel, but that doesn't mean that I have always lived it to the fullest. As I have grown not only in age and height, but spiritually I have prayed and read my scriptures. As I do these things I just get more and more sure of our gospel. In a world where there are so many corrupt and untruthful people I take comfort in the surety that this gospel brings to me. I know that there is a God and that he loves all of us. He is always watching over us and He can give us strength in times of need. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel and that he was a true prophet. I know that our Prophet Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet on the earth today and that he is a mouthpiece for our Lord. I know these things because I have prayed about it, and have received confirmation through the Holy Ghost that these things are true. I encourage you to read The Book of Mormon and pray to know of its truth.

How I live my faith

I always attend my meetings. As I am getting ready to leave the country to serve our church I do not currently have a calling. I love to attend our temple, it brings such peace and comfort, which is nice when we live in a chaotic world.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Our Heavenly Father is a just God. He would not have requirements to get into his kingdom without a way for everyone to return to His presence. For those who were not able to receive the message of this restored gospel and be baptized will have the option in Heaven to accept that ordinance. That ordinance must be performed in the flesh and bone. By performing proxy ordinances, all of God's children are able to enjoy the blessings that these ordinances provide, even after they have passed to the other side. Show more Show less
