Hi I'm Elizabeth Hosteenez

I grew up Utah. I love my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My names Elizabeth, from Utah. I enjoy cooking, baking, dancing, singing, photograph, drawing/ painting and scrapbooking. I'm done with my first semester of college for now and will continue when I return from my mission. I love my family, friends and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because it's the church I was born into but I know and have a testimony that this Gospel is True. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ do live and they love all of us more then we can ever imagine. Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, he atoned for our sins to that we could repent, change for the better and not have to go through the pains of paying for them ourselves but instead be cleansed and have that burden removed from off out backs. He also was crucified and died for us breaking the bands of death so that we could one day live again. We can live with our loving Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ again. Joseph Smith was and is a True Prophet. Thomas S. Monson is also a True Prophet. Again this is the only True and church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Well I live my faith the best I possibly can. I was raised in this Gospel and it is a great blessing. Things I do to live what I believe is by simply obeying what I am told to do. For instance I go to church every Sunday. I pay my tithing which is 10% of my income when ever it is earned. I attend any other church meetings and conferences held during the week. I strive my very best to keep the commandments of God. I try to be a example of my Savior Jesus Christ in all I do, in the best way I can. Now I don't have to do these things, but I choose to because they are the reason I am happy in life and they please my Heavenly Father and my Savior. There is more to the gospel then just these things and when these and other principals are followed they make life better and more full of joy. This doesn't mean life will be perfect and trials won't happen but when the hard times do come they will be easier to get through.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Elizabeth Hosteenez
The family is central to our Heavenly Fathers plan for us. Being part of a family gives us many experiences for growth as we go through life. Having family members gives us oppurtunitys to serve others, show our love for them, teach them and grow because of them. Our familys experience happiness, joy, pain and sadness together. Even though pain isn't pleasant, when it's endured well the end result brings strength and greater happiness then before. Familys can be sealed together for eternity through the blessings of the temple. Husband to wife and children to parents, they can all be together forever, this is a wonderful blessing indeed. What are Mormon Temples used for?

Elizabeth Hosteenez
Temples are used for church members who are found worthy. Inside they learn eternal truths. They recieve sacred ordinances that are crucial for returning to the presence of God. Ordinances are also done for the dead by the living for those who have died before having the opportunity to receive the gospel. Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Elizabeth Hosteenez
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has no restrictions on who can join the church. You can be any race or color it does not matter. There's also no restrictions regarding who can have the priesthood. As long as the man is worthy and faithful he can hold the holy priesthood. Him and his loved ones can enjoy every blessing that comes from the holy priesthood when it is excercised with power and authority. Show more Show less
