Hi I'm Erin

Hello! I am a life long learner, a social worker, a lover of music, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hello! I am a college student nearing graduation. I will graduate with a bachelors in social work. I have plans to continue to get my masters of social work. I love working with people, especially those who others have given up on. Every person is wonderful and has so much potential. I am currently doing an internship with the mentally ill. When I am stressed I love to listen to my favorite music and read a good book. I am a firm believer that there is something new to be learned every day. Books are a great way to do this. Another way I do this is taking hard experiences and turning them into chances to learn and become a better person. I am so confused with what to do with my life after graduation, but I do know that God loves me and that if I am doing the best I can, things will be alright.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the greatest source of Happiness in my life. I know my Savior, Jesus Christ, suffered every pain and sorrow I have felt and died for me. This knowledge gives me the strength to make it through hard things in life. Life is hard, but it is also beautiful, and it is being a Mormon that makes life beautiful. I know that when I get married I will be with the one I love for time and all eternity. I will be able to see loved one's I have lost. I will be able to live forever with my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. I live it and love it. I have a goal to live my life in the example of Christ. With His help, I am able to see the greatness of all people (which helps me at work). I pray and read my scriptures everyday. I try to give charity and love to everyone around me. A simple act of kindness can go a long way. One of the reasons I choose the career path I did was because social work seems like a job Christ would do if He were living on the earth today. I count my blessings from the Lord, and then try to be a blessings in those who are around me. I used to teach the children of my church singing time, and I a currently teach classes to women. I live my faith every day, it makes the best part of me.
