Hi I'm Paul Evans

I have lived in Minnesota my whole life. I am a runner. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at Brigham Young University, with one year under my belt. I ran distance in high school in MN and hope to run for BYU after my I return from my mission to Peru. I love the outdoors and try to spend as much time there. I love running, biking, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, and I will one day go sky diving. I also am a fan of the Nintendo Wii, I do not play often but when I do I enjoy playing it with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church all my life, I would never give up this church even if my life depended on it. I choose to continue attended the Mormon church because it contains the whole truth of Christ's gospel. The Book of Mormon truly brings men and women closer to God and makes them better people. I have been asked many times why the Mormon church has such strict rules, and the answer is simple: In both the New Testament and the Book of Mormon, we are told to follow Christ, learn from him, and become like him. The standards and rules that this church has instituted helps us to do just that. Living the standards of this church helps people become more Christlike. The Mormon Church is one great, big family, extending to all corners of the earth. No matter where you go, you can find the church and still feel at home. I have a strong testimony that Joseph was a prophet of God because I feel the Holy Ghost when reading the Book of Mormon, which he translated. We have a prophet on the earth today still, Thomas S. Monson, and I know he is ordained of God with all my heart. I love this church and the spirit and blessings it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I am the branch mission leader in the Northfield Single Adult branch. I work closely with the missionaries serving in our branch and go teaching with them and I get to know all the investigators who come to learn about the gospel. I try my best to make all visitors feel welcome and at home.
