Hi I'm Joseph

I live in Texas. I run a window cleaning service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a manager at a window cleaning company and I am interested in learning about the human experience of my brothers and sisters around the world. I have volunteered, taught English, and studied throughout Europe and the Middle East and I can speak several languages. When I'm not engaged in volunteer work I enjoy nature through hiking and kayaking.

Why I am a Mormon

God loves all of his children and he has a plan of happiness for all of us, happiness that can be found in this life, as well as happiness in the life to come. I feel this love every week when I worship with my brothers and sisters, and I feel it daily as I do my best to carry out God's work in my interactions with everyone that I meet. I'm a person that believes the best sermons are comprised of acts of faith and service, and I find a like-minded community in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I continually seek to follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ, and as I have done so, I have found safety and peace in an insecure world.

How I live my faith

At least once a month I visit with families of my congregation in their home through a program called Hometeaching. I have four families that I hometeach. During my hometeaching visit I share an inspirational message, I make myself available to assist them with physical or spiritual needs, and I pray with them. In my ward, or congregation, I have been called to work with the full time missionaries as well. It is my job to make sure that people of all faiths visiting my congregation have someone to sit with during our services so that I can answer questions and explain what is happening. Regardless of whether our visitors join our congregation or not, I have enjoyed making new friends and developing deeper relationships with our visitors. I also ensure that all the new members of our congregation have a friend and that they continue feel the Spirit that drew them to worship with us in the first place.
