Hi I'm Billy

I grew up in Meridian Idaho. I just finished my first year at college in Salt Lake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey everyone, I am 19 and just finished my first year of college down in Salt Lake City, UT. I am the oldest child of three siblings and I have two loving parents. Our family is very active, in fact every member of my family except my mother plays competitive soccer at one level or another. We are also a very musical family. Everyone in our family plays an instrument, my instrument of choice was guitar. I started off playing classical guitar first and eventually shifted into playing more acoustic guitar. I love it and still play today just for fun. Like many other people I enjoy hiking, camping, swimming and hanging out with friends whenever I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. At first this was the reason that I am a Mormon, however as I have grown up I realized that I needed to find out for myself wether or not this church is true for myself. My faith in this church did not come overnight, rather it came gradually from the experiences and feelings that I experienced while I attended meetings and activities. My faith is still growing and I expect will continue to grow as I go on my mission and focus entirely on serving others. The people I have met in this church are good, honest, loving, and supporting people who have always been there for me in everything that I have done. I love this church, I know it is true, and it means everything in the world to me.

How I live my faith

I am going to be leaving to serve a mission to Mexico City, Mexico in the next few weeks and will be serving for two years. During these two years I will be performing service activities for the people in my mission area as well as spread the message of the church to those who are willing to listen. Many people have asked me why I am leaving to spend two years of my life doing this. My answer is that I want people to know what I know about the church and be as happy as I am.
