Hi I'm Camille!

I'm a sister, student, friend, missionary and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! During my service I have the great opportunity to go and serve amongst the people of Southern California and Argentina! Before my mission I was a college student attending Brigham Young University and I loved every minute of it! After my mission I plan on returning to BYU to finish out my schooling. I love spending time with my family, reading, playing the piano and traveling!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because this gospel has brought so much peace and joy into my life. I love the gospel principles and truly believe that we are all Children of God and that he loves us and wants us to return to live with him again someday. I know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us. I have seen how much of a blessing living gospel principles has blessed my life and I am so grateful for it.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have tried to live my faith, and continue to do so, by reading my scriptures, praying, and attending and participating in church meetings. I have seen how this gospel has blessed my life and I want to share that with others which is why I am currently serving as a full time missionary! While I am a missionary I will be serving others and teaching them about the restored gospel and the blessings that it can bring into our lives.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

I love attending church and visitors are more than welcome! In fact we love having visitors at church! A typical Mormon church service will be about three hours long. There are three different meetings that take place during a typical worship service. The main meeting that occurs is called Sacrament Meeting. Sacrament Meeting is a meeting in which the whole congregation will be together. We sing hymns and listen to assigned speakers that are usually from our own congregation! During this meeting we also partake of the Sacrament in which we partake of bread and water passed in remembrance of the Savior. After Sacrament which usually last just over an hour we have Sunday School! In Sunday School we learn gospel principles. During the third and final hour of our worship service we have Relief Society for the women and Priesthood meetings for the men. In this hour we also learn about the teachings of the Savior and how we can be better family members. During this time there are also Primary classes and Young Men or Young Women's for the children and teenagers. One thing that I love about church is that it is very family oriented and so there are classes for everyone! Church is one of the highlights of my week and I invite you to come and see! We would love to have you join us at one of our church services! Show more Show less
