Hi I'm Benny Cardullo

I am half Italian. I've been called back to my motherland to serve a mission in Milan, Italy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school and I have deferred attending Brigham Young University in order to serve a mission to Milan, Italy. My dad is from Sicily, the island off of Italy, and my mother is a California girl. I have two sisters: Ellie, who is serving a mission in Sacramento, California, and Katie, who is soon to be an only child. However she wont be too lonely because I also have three dogs and a cat. Atticus, who is a great dane, Zoe, who is a black lab, Ziggy who is pomeranian, and Eloise the cat. My dad is a fashion designer so fashion is very prominent in my family. One can then guess my excitement to serve a mission to the fashion capitol of the world! Obviously I know that is not what I am there for, but I can't help but have a little fun on P-day. I am active in my school and community. I have been involved in Student government all my years of high school, apart from my Freshman year when my family was living in Tuscany. I love humanitarian work and traveling so I have tried to get the best of both worlds and head to different countries in the pursuit of helping others. This last Summer I went to Peru and Kenya for humanitarian service. Both these trips were amazing because I was subjected to a people and culture I had never experienced before, I was also on my own for the first time in my life. These trips have helped me prepare for my mission and they definitely played a role helping me decided to serve at the age of 18.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but my activity in this gospel is my own conscience decision. There are a lot of rules and restrictions that come with membership in this church and there have been times when I have adhered to them strictly, and times when I decided to rationalize and do my own thing. The difference between the two life styles was night and day. These rules I had found stifling were actually helping in setting me free and helping me to live a better and more full life. That is why I love the gospel, for the joy it brings. It is also a gospel of love and peace. It's teachings resonate within me and the spirit bears witness that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ that was brought back to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I love this gospel because it helps me to grow close with my heavenly father. It taught me of God's love for me, and how I should love others. It taught me how to live my life in a way that will uplift me and those around me. It taught me how I can grow and become a true disciple of Christ. It taught me the important things of life. Because of this church I know who I am, where I am, and where I want to be. This gospel is the greatest blessing, it is the clarity that comes in a world of distraction. I am now serving a mission to Milan, Italy because I have a responsibility to share with the people there this truth that I was fortunate enough to be born into. We live in a world where everyone feels they don't belong, and in reality they don't. We all belong back with our Heavenly Father living with the blessing of eternal life and happiness. It is my duty to help others realize their potential and help them return to live with our father in heaven. It is my duty to share with the world this truth, the truth of happiness, the truth of God's love, the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the church and have always had a testimony of the validity of the gospel and its teachings. From a young age I have always strived to be involved with church activities and I have served in my ward as a leader in the Deacons, Teachers, and Priests quorum. I am currently a home teacher for two families in my neighborhood, and enjoy visiting with them and teaching them monthly. I also had the privilege of serving on the seminary council from my stake. I love being involved with the church because of how it enriches the lives of others as well as my own life.
