Hi I'm Alicia

I am a Texan. I live in Utah. I'm a future teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college to become a high school English teacher. I love to read and one day want to be a librarian. I love and adore animals. During high school I raised pigs and goats and love them dearly. I also love dogs, cats, frogs, turtles, rabbits--basically anything that isn't poisonous and doesn't want to automatically eat me. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it helps me become who I want to be. When I went off to University I re-evaluated my life and who I was becoming through my actions. A friend mentioned she knew a Mormon and there was a close church. I got in contact with that Mormon and he gave me information concerning the local singles ward and institute program. I loved institute. It reminded me of the potential I have as a child of God. Eventually I began consistently attending the singles ward. I began to recapture the happiness I had as a child, before the bitterness of the world had touched my heart. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and am so glad that he had the courage to continually do what he knew was right in the face of so much hate and opposition. I love the opportunities and blessings the gospel brings to my life. Most of all, I am happy and proud of the woman I am today and all that I have been able to accomplish.

How I live my faith

I work with children from 18 months to 4 years old. There are only a few children in my care, but I do everything I can to make sure they have fun, know that they are loved, and learn the gospel. As I have worked with these precious children I have come to truly understand how much our Heavenly Father loves each of us.
