Hi I'm Marie

I'm a mother of twins, a nurse, and teach for WSU's Nursing and Bachelor's of Integrated Studies . I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my life and live in gratitude for the blessings our Heavenly Father has given me, including being married to my best friend and being mother to my beautiful four year twins, a boy and a girl. I have a passion for learning, growing, and serving, which is why my career revolves around teaching others to become nurses and helping others to do projects that benefit their communities in a community health nursing way. I enjoy spending most of my time with my little family and am a loyal friend, sister, and neighbor. I served a mission to New Jersey and met lifelong friends there, as well as gained an increased understanding and appreciation of having the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon home but have honestly pondered and prayed throughout my life if I hadn't been born into it, would I have converted to this church? I have had so many experiences and impressions that leave me loyal and strong in my faith that this is the church of Jesus Christ, led by revelation to His servants who have His Priesthood authority. His priesthood has blessed my life in such personal ways, ways that have given me strength and direction, as well as a vision of myself and my life that I couldn't have gained elsewhere. I am a recipient of His love and ever pray to be a window to His love for others to feel and experience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my calling, or assigned job/role in my designated Ward. I am a visiting teacher, which means I visit 1-3 sisters a month with my partner I am assigned to. We check in on the sister, are their friend, leave them with a spiritual message and a prayer, and help out with meals, childcare, rides, or wherever needed for these sisters or as needs arise with the rest of our congregation. I am also a primary teacher for 10 year old girls. They are so sweet and actively participate in the lessons. I taught them about forgiveness a week ago and they taught me why Christ wants us to be more childlike; they are truly without guile and forgiving comes much more natural to them than an oversensitive and proud adult such as myself. I also live my faith by taking opportunities to grow by going to the Temple, praying in my heart constantly and listening to the Holy Ghost, service, being a good neighbor, reading my scriptures, and by prayerfully following my Savior by trying to become more like Him and constantly repenting.
