Hi I'm Amy

I am a teenager. A sister. A teacher. A writer. A music-blastin', book-huggin', ADHD girl. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the only girl in a family of seven. I love each of my four brothers even if sometimes they drive me crazy. I graduated from LDS Business College with my Associates Degree in Windows Administration and I am now preparing to serve an LDS Mission in the Ohio, Cincinnati Mission, I leave July 10th and I am so excited. After I get back I am planning on going back to school and getting a degree in Education (not sure what type yet) and then I will go out into the field and hopefully be a teacher. I have many different hobbies. One of the ones that I am passionate about is writing. I love writing so much because it helps me to kind of escape the world for a little bit while I create a new one. I learn so much about people and about myself and so much about the world around me. I also love teaching. As I said I am planning on getting a degree in Education once I get back but up till now I have also had many different chances to teach and every single one has filled me with so much joy that is why I have decided to pursue that in a career. I also love my family so dearly. As crazy as my brothers can be I love them so much and they have taught me so much about myself and how I can be a better person. I would be no where without them. My life is very simple but I am grateful for that. By living the gospel principles I know the Lord has blessed me with a simple, yet incredible, always changing life. And I am so grateful for that.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in Utah all my life, and so being surrounded by those of the same faith makes it easier to live the gospel, but I do not let that be the reason I believe what I believe. In four words: I love the gospel. It is what I live and breathe everyday and is what motivates me to more forward and do better. It's what helps me to believe that I have the ability to be the person I dream of being. I don't have an incredible, heart-wrenching story but as I look at my life I see that to me it is incredible. I look back on the many mistakes I have made, the many things that I have done and just the person I used to be and I see that I never would have been able to change so easily and with such an open mind without the gospel and the Savior on my side.

How I live my faith

I love to teach. I graduated from LDS Business College and while I attended there I got the chance to teach a spiritually based class. It was such an incredible experience because I was able to handle things as one would do in a classroom. But the best part was that I could pair my love of teaching with my love of the gospel and how passionate I am about it. I got to bear my testimony of things I loved and got to see the understanding come into their eyes and as they learned I learned so much too! I also got the chance to teach sunday school a few times at church and I love that as well. I got to bear testimony of the simple principles of the gospel that helped me to learn more about what I didn't know and to help me to grow. I love teaching!
