Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in the beautiful state of Oregon. I 'm a Modern dancer, I'm a triplet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, I got my BA in Modern Dance and minored in Psychology and Spanish. After graduating I worked for a non-profit Dance company for a year. I am planning to continue my education and become a Dance Movement Therapist (DMT). My masters will have to wait though, as I am serving a full time mission. For a year and a half I will be talking to the people of Seattle Washington about our Father in Heaven, and His son Jesus Christ. I am very interested to see how the people I serve and the experiences I have while on my mission will affect me as an artist and future dance therapist.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints because I know that is it truly Christ's church once again established on the earth. I know the foundation is the same and just as in Christ's time we have prophets, priests, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and deacons that preside over the church through the priesthood power or authority of God. I'm Mormon because i know the Bible and the Book of Mormon serve to testify of our Savior and redeemer and outline the way in which we can return to our Father in Heaven. They work together and that is a beautiful thing. (Matthew 18:20) I know our Father in Heaven loves each of us individually and unconditionally. Because of this love I feel the need to share the Joy I have found within this gospel with everyone I see. I was born into this faith and I am so thankful to my wonderful parents for raising me with a knowledge of the love of my savior, but i have also had to come to this knowledge on my own. life is not easy and curve balls definitely come our way but i can testify that as we place Christ at the center of our lives and build our foundation upon him we cannot and we will not fall! (Helaman 5:12) This gospel, this faith, and the wonderful path of discipleship is for EVERYONE! Come, Join with us!

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by strengthening my relationship with our Father in Heaven. As I follow the example of His son and our Savior, I feel my love grow stronger for those around me. I continue to study, pray, and do all I can to learn how to be the Daughter of God I know I am. I try to treat others with respect and allow everyone the opportunity to learn more of our savior, and of the love that he and our Father in Heaven have for each on of us. I know that three simple ways I live my faith are by continually praying to my Father in Heaven, by reading his holy scriptures, and my attending church each week to receive inspiration on how I can better follow my savior.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jennifer
The easiest way to find out if anything is true in this life is to study, study, study... Ponder and Pray and find the answer out for yourself. If you are wanting to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is true I encourage you to read the Book of Mormon and ask with a sincere heart if what is written in the book is true. Allow yourself time to consider the things you are learning, and write any thoughts you have down while you study. I can honestly say as you study and write your impressions down you WILL receive an answer. "Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God, Behold, I have fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself. And now I do know of myself that they are true; for the Lord God hath made them manifest unto me by his Holy Spirit; and this is the spirit of revelation which is in me."
