Hi I'm Lizzie Hansen

I grew up in Idaho. I am learning and loving American Signed Language. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated with my Associates of Arts Degree from Dixie State University in St. George, UT. I am planning to continue my education in learning American Signed Language and hope to one day become an Interpreter for the Deaf. I am happily married to the man of my dreams who encourages me to chase my dreams and live my life as fully as possible. We love camping, hiking and traveling. One day we will travel the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the blessings that come from listening to and heeding the council of the leaders of this wonderful church are too great to doubt. As an individual who has been blessed enough to grow up as a Mormon, I have always had access to the blessings available for those who follow the teachings and encouragements of this church. I have stumbled along the way and at times took my religion -- and the lifestyle that goes along with it -- for granted. It was during those time that I realized the importance of staying true to the promise I made to always follow my Heavenly Father and his council, no matter how small the request may be. There is a light that comes with having this gospel in your life. I have noticed a blanket of happiness that envelops me when I do what is asked of me and serve where I am needed. This doesn't mean I don't struggle or have days where life is hard, it simply means that those days are easier to bear and the light at the end of the tunnel shines a little bit brighter. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and love being able to share his love with those I meet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving this life and all that it offers. I spend each day appreciating and enjoying all of the wonderful things that God has created for us. As an active member of the LDS church I serve where I am needed and do my best to fulfill the needs of my ward. Most recently I have served as a leader for the young women in our ward, I spend my weekdays planning activities with them and my Sundays teaching them about the importance of the gospel in our lives.
