Hi I'm Sam

I live in beautiful North Wales. I've just finished school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just finished school and I have been called to serve a two year mission for the Lord in Utah. I love to play the drums and guitar with my friends. I also love mountain biking with my dad (but I'm not great at it). I love my sci-fi and fantasy movies and computer games. I also like going on hikes with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Two reasons. First I was brought up in the gospel and both my parents have very strong beliefs about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Restoration of the gospel. The second reason is because at about the age of 14 I had reached a point where it was no longer good enough for me to just believe what my parents believed. I needed to find the truth out for my self. After a lot of earnest prayer I finally got my answer and felt the spirit so strongly that any doubt I have is swept away by the words "I know it's true". I know without a doubt in my mind that Jesus Christ is my savior, he atoned for the sins of everyone because of the great love he has for us and he was crucified and resurrected so that we may do the same and be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father if we keep the commandments and endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I was recently released from assisting the branch president (like a Bishop) in assigning priesthood holders to set up, bless and pass the sacrament. Most weeks I take part in the sacred ordnance of the sacrament. I have recently been set apart as an elder and have been given the Melchizedek priesthood in order for me to become a full time missionary for the Lord.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

The senior Apostle is the person who becomes the next prophet. But ultimately it is God who chooses the next prophet to lead his Church. Show more Show less
