Hi I'm Emily

I'm a cowgirl. I'm from a small town. I love European football and Ukraine! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the country, in the "middle of nowhere". And I love it! We have cows, turkeys, pigs, and many other pets. The cows are my favorite. I am very much a cowgirl. Rubberboots and all! I have done 2 years of College at Weber State University. I have been working towards my associates degree and plan on being a high school English Teacher and ultimately a high school principal. I have also been heavily involved with the great Ogden LDS Institute at Weber State University! It is my second home. It is heaven on earth. I love photography and would do it every day if I could. I enjoy taking a little bit of life and keeping it forever! I love the United States Marines! I would love to become one! My best friend is one of the few and the proud and a great example to me. I will be serving a full time mission in L'viv Ukraine from June 2013 to December 2014. I'm excited to serve the people of Ukraine in the beautiful Ukrainian language. And eat Ukrainian food;) I have a wonderful, supportive family. They are my world! I love this gospel and the happiness it brings. It is true!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true chruch on the earth. It proclaims its truthfulness in every aspect of it. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know He atoned for my sins and for everyone elses. I know that through Him, we can live with God again. I know Joseph Smith restored Christ's Church. The Spirit is there every week. The presence of the Holy Ghost is with me whenever I choose to be like Christ. I can feel it. So how can I deny it? And I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ restored their one true church upon the earth so that we could return to live with them. How wonderful is that?! And it's so true.

How I live my faith

I am very involved in the Ogden LDS Institute. It is such an amazing place! You meet so many people, the Spirit is so strong there, and there's always something going on. Not to mention...food! I am so grateful for the experiences that I've had there. The teachers are amazing. They teach with love and conviction. I was able to serve on a presidency for the Service Committee. Our committee was there to serve others at the University and in our community. I have been able to grow closer to Christ by doing the kind of things that He did during His earthly ministry. I loved every minute of it. I truly became closer to Christ and so by doing, was able to strengthen my faith and testimony! I believe not only in knowing your faith, but living it as well. I also am living my faith by serving a full-time mission. For 18 months, I will be teaching the wonderful people of Ukraine about the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so excited to bring such a happy message to these people. Full of challenges and learning experiences, we press on in faith, hope, and charity, and side of Happiness! :)
