Hi I'm Rachel

I am a wife and have 2 children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful, hard working husband. I have 2 beautiful children. I have a 5 yr old daughter and a 3 yr old son. They are lively and sometimes a handful. But they are beautiful and kind and I love them to pieces. Before I got married, I worked at KFC. And then as a dental assistant in a lovely little dental practice. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with people. I love to exercise. When I can, I love to go for really long walks and listen to music. It help me to clear my mind. My husband and I love to take our kids on holidays around Australia. We really enjoy spending time together, going to beaches and theme parks.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents Joined the church early on in their lives, and brought my brothers, sister and I up in the church. So I have been a member all of my life. At about age 14, I decided that I didn't want to be a member of the church just because I always had been. So I read the Book of Mormon and I prayed to know if it was the true church on the earth. I felt so strongly that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints was the true and right church. From then on, I always knew that by living as best I could, and following Jesus's example as a Mormon, that I would be happy. I have been so blessed by living the things I have been taught in church. I am not perfect, but I am trying my best and am happy to be able to bring my children up in the church. I am so grateful to know that My saviour loves me.

How I live my faith

Since turning 18, I have spent most Sundays working with the young children that come to our church. I would teach then simple and wonderful parts of our faith. I've organized activities where we do arts and crafts, cooking, role plays, sports and all sorts of fun things. The kids really loved to be active and moving around. I am currently teaching the youth (12 - 18 yr olds) in a class on Sundays. We share experiences we've had in our homes and schools. We learn about Jesus Christ together. We do lots of talking and we learn a lot about each other and how we can be happy. They are wonderful kids and I love hearing about their week each Sunday when I see them.
