Hi I'm Joni

I'm an accent-less Georgia Peach and a full-time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Georgia, and I just love the South (the food, the crazy, kind people, the warm weather, and the fireflies). I am the oldest of five kiddos, and I think my siblings are some of the most fun people ever. People tell me my laugh is easily recognizable which is entertaining. I really enjoy spending time with those I love, reading (or in other words, spending time with fictional characters I love), singing, and trying new things. I love being in the water and being outside in general. Due to my lack of coordination though, I wouldn't say I'm good at many of the activities I try, but I enjoy them nonetheless. I have been accepted into the nursing program at BYU, and plan on completing the program upon returning from my mission in Spokane, Washington!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the principles of the gospel have brought and continue to bring true joy into my life. Yeah, I was raised Mormon, but I remember some specific events that made me think, "Alright, this is the real deal." Like when I was at that pre-teen/awkward age, I remember it hitting me that I was a daughter of God. I, Joni, was the kid of the Almighty God. I remember the immense love I felt in that moment, and I have drawn on that love to help me be a better person. Even more, I remember later in my teen years when I came to better comprehend the atonement Jesus Christ performed for all of us and what that meant to me as an individual. The atonement exists, so I can become better and return to my Father in Heaven. I remember when I was talking to some friends and realized how blessed I am to know of the wonderful Plan of Salvation. What hope it brings to my heart. Within the last couple years, I have really come to see that Heavenly Father is aware of my circumstances, the good and bad. He's got my back. When I choose to obey His commandments, there is an outpouring of blessings in my life. He is always there and so willing to help me along. The gospel is THE Church of Jesus Christ. I know it because the Spirit has testified it to me many times, and continues to do so.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary preaching the gospel. I spend my time teaching others about the my faith and serving people. I do my best to live what I know to be true.
