Hi I'm Dana

I'm a father of 7 kids. I'm a Doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Pennsylvania for over twenty years. My wife and I have raised a family of seven children who are scattered across the United States. I enjoy being out of doors, gardening, and hiking. I've been involved in Scouting all of my life and have four sons who are Eagle Scouts.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon Church all of my life. I come from a family of six generations of Mormons. I have had the opportunity to share my faith during a two year mission in Central America and with friends and colleagues throughout my life. I derive a great deal of peace, hope, satisfaction, and joy from my membership in the church. I hope to be able to share that with others.

How I live my faith

Currently, I serve as the pastor of our local congregation. I enjoy working with members to plan activities, teach the gospel, meet challenges, and strengthen families.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Dana
Some individuals choose to label Mormonism as a cult. I disagree strongly for the following reasons: 1) The name of our church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, thus clearly stating core belief in Christ as our Savior and Redeemer; 2) Mormons are among the most patriotic and committed citizens of any country and work hard to uphold the rights and faith of all people; 3) We study intensely each and ascribe to the doctrine found in the Holy Bible and in no way excuse ourselves from any commandment or teaching found therein.
