Hi I'm Sam Jason Braganza

I love to play guitar and drums. I moved from India and now live in the UK. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a member all my life, I was blessed to be brought up in the church as it has made me who I am today and I couldn't think of any other place I would want to be than at church on a Sunday morning! going to church is mostly likely the best part of my week. I have a passion for playing guitar and playing drums! I love to meet new people and socialise with others and I know that they are all God's children - which is amazing to me. Basketball is my favourite sport! I like to think I can draw! my favourite subject in school (besides music) would be Psychology!

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was brought up in the church but I feel that I choose to come to church because it is a great place to be. I can always feel the spirit at church and I have a strong conviction that the teachings of the gospel is true. There has never been a time that I have questioned or doubt the judgment of God because I know that he knows what's best for us. He loves us and although It may seem unfair at the time, In the long run it will bring many blessings. I think the gospel can bring families together and make them strong, it creates an ideal setting for home based on the principles of faith, love and forgiveness. As I have strived to live in a more christlike manner I have seen positive changes not only in my life but in the lives of those around me. The gospel is a gospel of joy, I do not feel restricted by the rules that I have to follow and the covenants that I have chosen to make, I know that they are for my good and because of following the commandments and listening to the counsel of the leaders of my church, I have been blessed. I sustain the prophet of our church and the leaders in my local ward as I know they were called by inspiration given directly from God. I know that this church contains the fullness of the gospel of jesus christ, and that the priesthood authority is the authority to act in God's name. It is not by miracles that I have gained a testimony of the church but it is through faith that I have witnessed miracles in my own life and in the lives of people around me. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and was translated through the power of god by Joseph Smith who was a Prophet. I know of the truthfulness of the book of mormon as I have read it and prayed about it for myself to know of it's truthfulness and I encourage anyone reading this to do the same. People believe that we disregard the Bible because of the Book of Mormon but they definitely go hand in hand as they both contain powerful witnesses of the love of God.

How I live my faith

I love all the callings that I receive and am determined to fulfil any callings that I might receive because they are all opportunities to serve God. I can't wait to go on my mission and am eager to go as soon as I'm 18, it has always been a desire of mine to serve God. I love going on 'soup runs' which are basically something we do every month. We go out and feed the homeless ad it is always a good experience. I love helping the people who are less fortunate than I am. I think it is important to help others in any way possible because serving others is really serving God. I feel it is important to share my testimony with others as I have seen how happy the gospel has made me and how; when I have stuck to the principles that I have been taught in various classes such as seminary, sunday school and young men's, I have lived a much more joyful life.
