Hi I'm Eric

I love to play basketball, being in the outdoors, reading and hanging out with friends, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am the the second youngest of six kids. I am currently serving a mission on the East Coast, but did one semester of college before I came out. I declared my major as Pyschology but that well probably change. I love to go hiking and camping. Being in the outdoors is very fun and relaxing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS Church, but I had to go through my own conversion. I had to pray and ask God. While I was growing up and going to church I was just going through the motion. I wasn't getting anything out of going to church. I only went because that is what I had done my whole life. As I got older into my mid-teens I started asking myself 'why am I going to church?' I pondered that question because really I did not know. Eventually I knelt down and prayed, because I wanted to know if this church was true. As I prayed I had the extreme feeling of comfort and peace that is really hard to describe. At that moment I knew I was in the right place. That being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) was where I needed to be. I rely on that testimony everyday to help me through the many temptations and trials that the world throws at me.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is choosing to serve a mission. I have choosen to dedicate two years of my life to serving the Lord, and I know in doing so He well bless me.
