Hi I'm Darcy

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a musician. I'm an artist. I love to eat chocolate, and travel.

About Me

I am an energetic mother and wife. I spend my days trying to keep up with my children and teach them the things that will help them be wonderful people in this world. When I get time to myself I love to quilt, shop and read. I enjoy travelling and being outdoors camping and hiking. When I grow up I hope to see more of the world and serve the less fortunate in other countries.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I guess it began with because my mom and dad took me to church. Then it became something else. As I grew older I began to realize that in order to thrive and survive in this world I needed to know who I am, where I came from and where I am going. The Gospel of Jesus Christ answers that question and helps me everyday. In knowing who I am and who I was designed to be, I know how I need to act and what choices I need to make. We live in a world of so much uncertainty and I am blessed with the knowledge that if I follow the Lord's plan for me I will see him again. When the trials have come and as they continue to come I know that as I turn to the Lord through prayer, and reading my scriptures that I can feel the peace that I need to get through the obstacles in my life. This doesn't mean that it is easy but it means that he is helping me through. I don't know where I would be in this world without the knowledge that Jesus is my Savior and he died so that I may live with him again. I am grateful that my parents took me to church, so that I can be here in this time, taking my children to church and teaching them the same principles.

How I live my faith

I have served in our local community church preschool as the Parent Auxiliary Leader. Serving these little 3 &4 yr olds' was priceless and I learned so much from them. There is a tender place in my heart for Cub Scouts, these little boys are so excited about life. Pinewood Derbies, Day Camp, and Blue and Gold banquet's are becoming traditions in this family. Women are amazing, and there is nothing more amazing to me than to see what happens when women come together and accomplish something. Whether we are helping someone with a dinner, a ride, a load of laundry, or a stress relieving girl's night out, we all need each other!
