Hi I'm Amaya Bingham

I love life, and love to laugh. I'm a missionary, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in the California, San Jose Spanish speaking mission. I'm an Elementary Education major at Brigham Young University. I am the oldest of four children, and I love my family with all my heart. I love to sing, act, and play the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I have been going to church every Sunday my whole life. My parents taught me about the gospel, as did my teachers and leaders at church. I've always known it was true. When I was eight years old, I was baptized, and began reading the Book of Mormon by myself for the first time. While reading it my testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ grew even stronger. Over the years I have witnessed miracles in my life, and the lives of my loved ones that witness to me that the church is true. I have a strong testimony that the gospel brings true, eternal happiness. I know that I can be with my family forever, and I love that. I know that I have a purpose in this life. I know where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going when I die. I know that God loves HIs children, and that because of my Savior Jesus Christ, I can return and live with my Heavenly Father for eternity. And that brings me true happiness. I wouldn't choose to live any other way.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission so that I can bring what I know to others. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and it has brought me so much joy and happiness in my life. I want to share that knowledge with all of God's children. I am leaving my home and family for a year and a half, but it is all worth it. It will be hard, but I know that with the Lord's help I can do anything. He wants His children to be happy, and I am just a small part in bringing the true happiness that comes from the gospel to others.
