Hi I'm Marie

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Salt Lake. I play piano and organ. I love life. Love my family. Love to learn.

About Me

I love to be a gandma. I love playing piano and organ and sewing and knitting. I love gardening, sewing, cooking or having barbecues. Years ago I had a brain injury. So I 'extra love' learning and helping, and loving. I call people on their birthdays or bringing them cakes or goodies. Our church has visiting teaching for the ladies to do. My son and I deliver my visiting teaching lessons that I am to pass out. We also love visiting my parents for lunch. My honey and I love to read together. We do service together, like helping the neighbors, or scouts, or family members; especially my parents. We love taking my parents places with us, like to birthday parties. We loved to visit my mother-in-law in Wyoming, and passing some lovely temples on our way driving there. My life is very busy and wonderful, but not too busy to make a happy call to someone on their birthday or to call my honey to see how his day is.

Why I am a Mormon

My great, great grandpa, John Bennion, helped lead the pioneers to Salt Lake. I love to know that. And I know that I am a descendent of those great mormon pioneers. Mary Turpin, my gg-grandmother, was also a faithful pioneer woman. Through her I have many wonderful ancestors. These were all great people. I belong to a great family. My wonderful mom and dad are so special. After my accident, I worked with Ellan Clint. She was a great lady. She helped me to love the church. She was a small lady with a deformed back who helped the blind or students who could not see well. She helped me. She taught me about the temples and helped me to learn more about the church, which I love so much. I am still learning about our church and the Book of Morman. I am still learning about my mormon pioneer relatives. How I love it.

How I live my faith

I love to participate in my community. I volunteer at the schools, teaching music or reading or storytelling. I volunteered at the gift shop at the hospital; I used to be a pink lady there. I have volunteered at This Is The Place Park, being a pioneer lady and teaching about the schools or dancing. I have volunteered playing organ at the temple. I play piano at the Conference Center. At our church I love to be a visiting teacher and visit sisters in our church. I am visiting teaching superviser and doa lot of calling also. In our choir at church, I am the choir president. I am an organist at church. I used to work with primary girls and love that also.
