Hi I'm Don McFall

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am a husband, father and grandfather. I am a nurse administrator, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy husband and father of 3 wonderful children. While raised in the LDS church, I became truly converted to the gospel while serving a mission among the Mayan people of Guatemala. It was at this time in my life that I recognized that God knew me personally. My existence was not by accident nor will my spirit simply cease to exist upon my mortal death, rather, I have a purpose here on earth and I have consecrated my life to doing good, serving others, and living in such as way as to return to His presence in the next life. I am a Registered Nurse because I love serving my fellow man and bringing comfort to others, not because I feel that it is required of me, but because this is what I love doing and what brings further joy to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the restored gospel contains the fullness of what God the Father has in store for His children; to bring to pass immortality and eternal life. There are beautiful teachings in every religion but I have found that the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints contains all that God wants us to have. It doesn't answer every question in life but it certainly answers many questions that others are seeking. I see the restored gospel much like a recipe for a gourmet meal. Many people (churches) can assemble ingredients (doctrine) and make delicious things, but leave out certain ingredients (teachings) and the end result will not be as the designer (God) intended. Without all of the ingredients the result may be bad, acceptable, or perhaps even delicious to some, but it cannot be exquisite without all of correct items as designed by He who is perfect. I found out for myself through study and prayer, not by listening to others or searching for answers from others on a website where the poster of information may have an ulterior motive or hold a grudge against the Mormon church. Seek information from true sources (scriptures, mormon.org) and then ask God for confirmation of the truth. I testify to you that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and fully restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today and is led by a prophet who directs the work of the Lord on earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing what I preach. There are so many wonderful teachings in the gospel that can guide and direct our lives if we are but willing to give ourselves to the Lord. I currently serve in the temple which I can testify is the House of the Lord. This is a very sacred place on earth that is sanctified and kept holy so as to be a place where God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ can actually visit. The world tends to think that what we do in our temples is secret, but what we do in the temple is make covenants (promises) with our Father in Heaven that are sacred, and the temple must be kept pure and free from the things of the world so as to invite the Spirit in to dwell. My prayer is that some day all who believe in Christ will desire to know all the mysteries of the world and the teachings of the restored gospel that is available to all through a living prophet on earth, and enter into the holy temple. With this knowledge and understanding, all who live worthy and are willing to make promises to be obedient to Christ's teachings can enter the temple and be sealed for all eternity with their loved ones.
