Hi I'm Stockton Hiatt

I'm an athlete. I play collegiate football in Virginia. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am just a regular, average Joe. I am going to college and working towards a business degree. I play football for the college but play all sorts of sports on the side. Basketball, soccer, rugby, ping pong, you name it, I'll play it. I also enjoy playing the guitar, eating food, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen and felt the change and impact it has had on my life. Through the teachings of the Lord, I have come to understand that I have a Savior, a perfect being who came to this earth to take upon himself the sins of every person who has ever existed or ever will exist on this earth individually. I know that this event really did take place because I have prayed and asked God if it really did happen. As I did this, I felt the spirit of The Lord confirm its truth upon me. I have had this experience happen with so many other aspects of the LDS church. Each and every time I have had a question about something related to this church, I took time to kneel down and ask my Heavenly Father if it was indeed true. Each and every time I was given a clear answer. It is because of this experience that I continue to be a Mormon, I continue to practice its teaching and participate in its programs with all the energy I possess. I love this Gospel and could not imagine any other way to live my life. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I honor my faith by serving others. I am currently serving as a missionary for my church and I have found that serving others is the best way I can show I live what I believe. Through service as complex as helping someone install new cabinets in their house or as simple as listening to someone talk about their day, I feel that I am exemplifying the love that my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has for these people. It not only helps me communicate these feelings to them but also helps me know and understand why he loves them and I soon feel the same way.
