Hi I'm Julie

I'm a singer. I've played many roles as an actor. I love being on stage. I also enjoy writing. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have always been involved in music. From the day that I could speak, I was singing with my family. I made it to be a vocal performance major at Utah Valley University, but I'm putting that on hold while I serve the Lord on a full time mission. Along with singing, I play the French Horn, harmonica, and I'm teaching myself the ukulele, just for fun. Eventually I found my love for drama. I did all that I could on stage being in band, choir, and theater as well as working a job and taking many AP classes. I like to keep busy, but in the spare moments that I can find I like to write stories, keep a journal, and sketch as well. My family and I grew up on the outdoors. I love to go camping, hiking, and boating every chance that I get. But I'll never miss a chance to get all prettied up and spend time with my girlfriends having a spa night, shopping, or playing video games. Aside from doing dishes, there's really not much I don't like to do, especially if I have my awesome family or wonderful friends to share it with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon but I have chosen to stay a Mormon because it is the source of all my happiness. The boundaries set by this gospel keep me safe and happy. Because I have a knowledge of my loving Father in Heaven I can have the hope to carry through all the hard times that undoubtedly come in life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true with all my heart. It is truly a history of a people that lived in America before it was discovered by the Europeans. I have learned much about Joseph Smith and through prayer and a sincere desire to know of his validity, I know that he was a chosen prophet of God. This Mormon church is the one that was restored by Joseph Smith and is still true today with a prophet of God to lead us in our problems of today.

How I live my faith

Life is a wonderful adventure that is supposed to lived to its fullest. Honestly, this is best achieved by following the guidelines of the gospel. I attend a ward for young single adults and love all the friends that I've made with people who have the same values as me. I am currently preparing to serve a full time mission to share the good news of the Mormon church. I try my best to be the best person I can be by living up to my standards everywhere that I go.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Julie
Mormon women are the same as any other women. We like girly stuff like facials and pedicures or can enjoy going camping and hunting. We are equal to men but they have the duty to watch over the home by providing the necessities of life and protection for their family. Mormon women strive to live to a high standard of modesty in dress by covering up their chests, stomachs and thighs. Show more Show less
