Hi I'm Clark Christensen!

From backpacking and zebra wrestling to serving the Lord as a missionary in New Zealand, My name's Clark and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm from in Idaho, and I live that life in all it entails. I love being outdoors - whether it's hiking, camping, fishing, shooting, rock climbing/rappelling, or skiing - you name it and I'm keen. I used to work at the Tautphaus Park Zoo in Idaho Falls and also as a regional account manager for Valued Merchant Services, a local credit card processing company. I'm an Eagle Scout and served for 5 years on the staff of Cedar Badge, a National Youth Leadership Training program. One day I'll own a veterinary practice for exotic animals and hopefully work for a zoo. My family's the greatest and I love 'em heaps! The greatest thing of all though is that I am currently serving the Lord as a full-time missionary in the New Zealand Hamilton Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have a firm testimony that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ, in the Sacred Grove and that through him, the Fullness of Christ's gospel was restored as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Joseph Smith was a true prophet called of God as is our current prophet today, Thomas S. Monson. I believe that each prophet is a "mouthpiece of God" and that they teach us what God would have us know. They help us as we work to return to live with our Heavenly Father, our Savior, and with our families forever. I believe that in order to do so we must follow the teachings of Christ and His prophets, both ancient and modern. When we slip, we can and must call upon the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Through His Atonement we can be made clean from the sins and the mistakes we have made throughout our lives. I know that this is the plan that our loving Heavenly Father has established for us. I know that Christ lives, and that this is His church. The Book of Mormon is scripture for our day. Through study and prayer we may all know of it's truth and divinity. I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by 2 key words: commitment and consistency. It's about knowing who our Savior, Jesus Christ is and committing ourselves to do our best to be like Him. The hardest part is also the best, and that's the fact that it's not just a one time thing. Every day we push ourselves to do and be a little better. Right now I'm serving as a full-time missionary in New Zealand. Every day I get to work with others and help them feel the love of our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. As I help others find their faith, I can feel mine grow.
