Hi I'm McKell

I am a daddy's girl, oatmeal lover, owl fanatic, nerd, runner, and a missionary. And (you guessed it) I'm a mormon!:)

About Me

Hello there!!:) First and foremost I am a complete family gal. The relationship and memories I have with my family are my most treasured possession and they are my best friends. I love families because through the good and the bad they are always there for you. I am a college student and I am majoring in Mathematics (yeah I know NERD ALERT). I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with it but I love learning so much that I dream of getting my Doctorate degree someday. Everyone that knows me knows that I am addicted to running because I love it so much. I ran a marathon this summer and I hope to run them for the rest of my life. I find the Earth gorgeous. I love going out into nature and experiencing its wonders. I love going hiking in the mountains and backpacking in the canyon lands. I love star and cloud gazing, dancing in the rain, and marveling at sunsets. I love watching and playing sports. I grew up playing competitive soccer and I will forever love the sport. At the moment I have left all of these things for the time being for something that I love even more. I am a missionary for the church in the Washington D. C. North mission speaking Spanish and assisting in the Temple Visitors Center. It is such an adventure and it is the greatest experience that I have ever had. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I am so grateful for every day that I have to testify of him and serve him.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and I have believed it since I was little. Even though I was young the doctrines spoke peace to my soul and have ever since. I do not count my conversion as a moment but as a journey. The more I studied it out and lived the principles the more I realized that it is true. As I have lived gospel principles with more obedience I have found an insurmountable amount of blessings and I have found that they are the path to true happiness and fulfillment. It has helped me through hard times and always been my hope and my anchor. I love love love this Gospel :)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consistently doing the little things. I am inspired everyday by reading the scriptures and rely on my Father in Heaven for my strength. I try my best to keep the commandments that I have been given and I am always striving to be better. At the moment I am serving a mission in Washington D. C. I love the gospel and I hope to have many opportunities to share it for the rest of my life.
