Hi I'm Annika

I was born and raised in Utah. I have been a Mormon all my life and I love it.

About Me

I LOVE the outdoors. My favorite activity is rock climbing! I also enjoy reading and art (painting, drawing, photography, etc). I completed my associates degree and I am a certified EMT. I hope to work in the medical field and expand that knowledge through humanitarian work. I haven't done too much, just work and school mainly, but I still have a lot of life left. I am serving a mission in the Adriatic South Mission, Albanian speaking. The countries are Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo. I am so excited to bring the people I serve hope and the Light of Christ into their lives. I am glad the Lord has trusted me to do this work for Him. I hope to serve Him well and with all my effort.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I grew up as one. This is only the first step however, the gospel has helped me through some rough times and I have seen how it has helped those that were once not apart of my Church. It has given me hope and comfort to know that I am never forgotten, and that all the hard times I have and will face will prove to be a blessing in the days to come. The principles of the LDS Church always ring true when you are persistent in following them. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died to give me the chance to return to him. His sacrifice and the enabling power of the Atonement can help heal wounds that may not be seen and change our hearts. I know my Heavenly Father watches over me and loves me no matter what mistakes I may make. It a wonderful thing to know of His mercy and patience with me. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet and brought to pass the restoration of the true Church and that without him I would be in a much more difficult place. I am so grateful for the modern day Prophets and their testimonies, love, and devotion to everyone. I love this gospel and it's wonderful teachings and blessings it has to offer.

How I live my faith

I participate in Institute and go to the activities they have to offer. I am going on a mission to Albania and those surrounding countries. I am happy to do my Lord's work and follow His will and plan for me, by doing this I exercise faith and trust in Him and His plan. I am in a young single adults ward and I enjoy the activities they do such as; hiking or camping trips, we set up an ultimate Frisbee game on Wednesdays, and joining the ward missionary groups in visiting those that are less active in the LDS Church or not members at all. I enjoy inviting others to join in on our fun adventures and making them feel welcome. I try to love everyone I meet and am thus far successful in this endeavor. I love meeting new people and being able to help them and just be their friend. I try to do what my Savior, Jesus Christ, would do and build my faith by acting as He would. I find it a big help to serve others in drawing near to them, my Savior, and Heavenly Father. I pray daily and I try hard to read my scriptures daily, especially the Book of Mormon. I go to church weekly and learn as much as I can there.
