Hi I'm Eli

I'm from Utah. I love Funyuns. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just finished my freshman year of college. I am preparing to serve a mission in Edmonton, Canada. I play the saxophone, and I play guitar and piano at about a third-grade level. I love music, and basically anything that involves it (instruments, singing, dancing, etc.), but you'd have to ask someone else if I were any good at it. I'm a huge movie fan, and no matter how late it is, if a movie's on, I can stay awake to watch it (sort of like a superpower, huh?... maybe not). I wrestled in high school and was in various clubs (FBLA, DECA, Pokemon). If I had my dream job it would be a writer/businessman/race car driver/pilot/explorer/actor/teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith, so obviously starting as a Mormon was a given. But, I've chosen to continue on that path because for me, nothing compares to the happiness that keeping the Commandments and living the gospel brings. When we put forth even the smallest amount of faith and live with obedience, God blesses us exponentially. I know that the church I am a part of is true. I know God loves me and knows and cares about me personally. He wants what's best for me, and He provides a structure for me to achieve that.

How I live my faith

I've been actively participating in my church all my life. Whether it's participating during the actual church meeting (in a variety of ways), or if it involves work or activity in additional church functions. The most prominent act of living my faith is my decision to serve a mission. I am going to Edmonton, Canada to preach and live the gospel every day for two years, and I couldn't be more excited.
