Hi I'm Dallin Nielsen

I grew up in Henderson, Nevada. I am a student at Texas A&M University, studying Nuclear Engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Texas A&M University. I am studying nuclear engineering, and am preparing to serve a mission in the Russia Yekaterinburg Mission. I love to play sports like basketball, ultimate frisbee, and football. I also enjoy fine arts very much. I have played the trumpet for 8 years, and I was an All-State musician in high school. I was a Boy Scout, and I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. I also love outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has changed my life, and it continues to shape it as I grow older. Serving my Heavenly Father gives me more joy than can otherwise be found. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed and received a testimony of this divine work. I know that the words of the Book of Mormon and those of the prophets are the words of God. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. He directs this church through his mouthpiece, the prophet. Revelation and miracles have not ceased, for God still loves us, and he wants us to succeed. This is his church, reestablished in these days.

How I live my faith

For the last year, while at school, I have had the calling of ward missionary. As a ward missionary I assisted the missionaries in the area in giving service to others and in teaching principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have also been a home teacher, helping and teaching members of my ward. Now I am preparing to serve a full-time, two-year mission in the Russia Yekaterinburg Mission. There I will devote all of my time and efforts to serving my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ by serving and teaching the people of Russia. At the moment I am serving in my ward as a ward missionary and an Assistant Scoutmaster. In this calling I am helping young men of the church learn the Gospel and progress through the Boy Scouts program.
