Hi I'm Diane

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and an Office Manager of a Real Estate Company in the Midwest, USA. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a cheerful woman who works full time and enjoys her career as Office Manager for a local Real Estate Company. I love helping people; no two days are the same!!! I also teach skin care and make up artistry. I was fortunate to be a full time mom until my youngest of 4 was in the 5th grade. I love to workout, read and follow family and friends on Facebook. Traveling with my husband to warm, sunny places with sandy beaches is what makes me happy, but not as happy as spending time with my family and grandson!

Why I am a Mormon

My twin sister and my parents joined His church when we were 14 years old. I didn't like the idea of someone telling me that I couldn't smoke or drink, so I didn't join then. When my twin was attending Brigham Young University, I visited her and her husband's humble apartment. They were poor college students, but I felt something in there home that I did not have, and I wanted it. It was a special feeling of peace. I later found out that it was the Holy Spirit dwelling there. I went home and started reading GOOD NEWS FOR MODERN MAN, an easier to read version of the New Testament. I got to the Sermon on the Mount, and when the Beatitudes said, "Blessed are the persecuted" I thought about the Mormons who were persecuted and forced out of there homes in New York, Ohio, Missouri and Illinois and trekked to Utah. I got on my knees and prayed, asking Heavenly Father if this was the true church. That feeling I had in my twin's humble apartment returned, testifying that it was. I knew then that I needed to be baptized!! I am so grateful for the relationship I have with Jesus Christ. He is my Savior, my Redeemer, my Friend.

How I live my faith

I publish a weekly newsletter for the women's group. I also visit a few women in our congregation in person or by e-mail monthly to stay in touch with them, build friendships and help out as needed. I used to teach 14 and 15 year old girls. It is rewarding to still see them in the hall and get hugs from them! I love singing in the Choir; it brings my joy and I feel closer to Christ as we sing.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. His Atonement makes 'everything all better'. It makes us for our weaknesses, our shortcomings and our sins. It takes away the pains we suffer in this life. Without it, we would not be able to return to live in Heavenly Father's presence. Show more Show less
