Hi I'm Kenny Roman

I am a military brat, I have grown up in every state along the west coast, as well as Utah and Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the church my entire life and have enjoyed every second of it. I am a military brat and have lived in every state along the west coast as well as Utah and Alaska. It has been tough on my family to move as much as we do, but it has also been a blessing. I love to play almost any sport you can imagine, especially football, basketball, and tennis. I also enjoy writing and playing music, mostly the piano and singing. I think that it doesn't matter how well you can sing, everyone needs to. I also play the cello and enjoy classical music as well as rock, hip-hop, rap, country, pop, metal, grunge, new age, and jazz. I'm sure I missed genres in there, but I did my best.

Why I am a Mormon

This life is a roller-coaster ride, isn't it? No matter what faith you're a part of, no matter how good of a person you are, we all have highs and lows. I'm no exception. There is, however, an aspect of human nature that naturally depicts the negativity of life. We naturally block out our own hope telling ourselves it is useless to try. I am no exception to that either, but when I feel the love and power of this church, it gives me that hope back. Why I am Mormon is not explainable in just a few words. I have felt power that is far stronger than anything any man, women, or child has the ability to even comprehend. It keeps me happy in a world that is consistently getting more and more malignant. I know this is where I need to be, so I am here.

How I live my faith

There are many different ways I live my faith. I am about to serve a two year mission, to start, but I also play the piano for the little kids in primary. I love seeing them sing while I play the piano, and while I sometimes get teased for it, I always enjoy playing the piano for them. Living faith, however, is more than specific physical actions. There are many parts of me that love to live life to the fullest and the way I do that is through the gospel. A lot of people see living faith as going to church and listening to people lecture and singing praises. While this is a part of it, there is so much more to it than that. Everything I do, I do with my faith in mind. I enjoy having fun just as much as everybody else, but I keep a fine line between fun and destructive activities. I always have my faith close to my heart, and it helps me enjoy this life completely.
