Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a NERD. I love art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Welcome to Nerd 101! I am such a nerd of every type and nerdom. Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Mario, Doctor Who, Zelda, and Yes even My Little Pony. Shout out to all my nerdmates. I love being me. Uniqueness is there anything better or more divine. Sorry Sidetracked, I'm also a little ADD. I went to Snow College in Ephraim, UT and studied art there. I love every type of art, not necessarily great at all types of art but it's so fun and I get to show everyone else whats in my head. I'm also an Auntie of 13 almost 14 beautiful nieces and nephews whom I love dearly. I love reading and writing, hiking and just being with friends and family. I'm currently serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in what is called the Oregon Eugene Mission. It's a geographical area in the south western corner of Oregon. I was called by a living prophet to invite those in Oregon to come unto Christ and to partake in the joy of His gospel and His love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I was raised by my parents to attend church and to try and do the right thing, and while I was young that was good enough for me. When I began to get older I began to question everything, I was confused and lost. I tried reading the Book of Mormon like I had been told but it was just words my heart was not in it. I was angry at a lot of people and I wasn't ready to give up all the things I felt the world had for me. In college and my sweet and loving mother found out the things I had gotten myself into. I had been in the world and lived by it's standards and found no love or happiness. I was absolutely miserable and depressed. After talking with my mother, I agreed to give church another shot. I have never gone back to my old life. I am much happier following my Savior. I now know that the Book of Mormon is true, I found that through honest study and prayer. If I ever have any doubts I know I can always fall back on my testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that families can be together forever that even death cannot separate us from those that we love. This is all possible through the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings and actively search for Heavenly Father's guidance and desires for me. I serve my neighbors and love them in accordance to the Lord's commandments. I keep my covenant of baptism and the covenants I have made with my Heavenly Father. I visit his temples and partake in the ordinances that they provide. I pray each and everyday for the Lord's hand in my life and the continued presence of the spirit.
