Hi I'm Becca

I'm a believer, a fighter, and a dreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I am teaching the gospel in the Spanish language. At the end of my senior year in high school (2012) I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. At the begining this news hindered my dreams until I realized and accepted the will of my Heavenly Father. I turned to God for strength and through the Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ I was healed spiritually and began to see the impact I could have on those around me because of the things I went through. I know that God only gives us trials that He knows we are strong enough to handle and he gives us all the things we need in order to endure. I would not have been able to get through this time without the love and support of my family and loved ones. It is because of them that I am currently living my life long dream of being a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. Always Believe.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the happiness and comfort that it brings me in my daily life. During the hardest times in my life the teachings of His church have allowed me to find hope and strength to preserve. I know that God will never leave you alone but will alway be there to offer you His hand to lead and direct you through life, but you must have faith.

How I live my faith

Faith leads to action. I live my faith by my actions each and everyday. At this time in my life I live my faith each and everyday as a full-time servant of the Lord. Each day I put on my name badge that has my name (Hermana Newman) and my Savior Jesus Christ's name on it in bold white letters. I represent my Savior each day. I am to do what he would do, say what he would say, and think what he would think. This is how I live my faith, by focusing on my Redeemer Jesus Christ.
