Hi I'm Vanessa

I've grown up in California. I go to college and have a fun job. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in California with my amazing parents and two brothers. I enjoy reading books, especially fantasy and science fiction. I also love going for a run in a nearby canyon. I currently go to a nearby community college and am working on my AA in nursing. Then I plan on transfering to BYU. I also have a great job working at a movie theater and enjoy hanging out with my friends there. I'm a mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and have always been apart of it. My parents have been strong members and have taught me so much. I can see all of the blessings in my life that has come from being a member. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that this is his church because I have asked God with a sincere heart and he has answered my prayers. He will do the same for anyone who sincerly wants to know the truth.

How I live my faith

I love being a Mormon. Living it has helped me become confident and become a leader. There are many good people in my church that I look up to and have been great examples to me. I enjoy planning activities and teaching lessons to the women in my ward. I am serving a mission in South Carolina.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormon missionaries proselyte because we want others to share the blessings that we have recieved through the church. The gospel brings about a feeling of joy, peace, and belonging to everyone who will live righteously. The Lord wants us to actively search for people who are willing to come to his fold so they can spend eternity in his kingdom. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is the oldest and largest women's organization in the world. It was created so that the women of the church can strengthen each other's faith, and help each other in any way possible. I have seen and participated in many different acts of service that the Relief Society often performs. It can be as simple as creating an activity that someone enjoys, or making dinner for a sick or busy family. Many friendships are formed in Relief Society. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will teach about Christ's sacrafice so that everyone can be forgiven of their sins. They will teach about the plan of salvation that our Heavenly Father has put into motion for us, so that we may live with him again. The missionaries love teaching the gospel to those who wish to learn. They love answering any questions that you may have about the church. Show more Show less
