Hi I'm Brianna

I grew up in Utah. I love riding horses, the piano, being with friends and family, camping and reading. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah for my whole life. I love camping and riding horses. I went to high school at Lone Peak. I am about to graduate, and am going to go on a mission in July (2013). I love hanging out with friends and my family. I play the piano, and enjoy being outside. I am working as a CNA (certified nursing assistant).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this gospel. I have been a Mormon since I was born. I love it! I love how it makes you feel! Christ is there to help you through every trial you face in life. He wants to help you, he wants you to succeed and be happy. I also love how much service our church does. I know when Christ was here he was very charitable. Our church is able to be charitable like Christ. I love the Book of Mormon and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know when I read, pray and listen to the spirit my day, week, month and year go so much better because I know the Spirit, Christ, and God are there to be my support and strength every step of the way. I love being a Mormon and could not ask for a better religion than this gospel. I know this church is true and that through Christ we will be able to live with him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying everyday to be more like Christ. I have served as a president, counselor, and secretary of a youth group where we would plan activities, and learn how to strengthen each other. I also try to look for ways that I can serve and help people at home and in public. In my CNA job I am able to help elderly people do things that they can't do. Even though I am getting paid, I love going there to serve these wonderful people, knowing that I am helping someone who really does need the help because they can't do it themselves. I live by faith by trying to be more Christ like everyday.

What is being a Mormon like?

I love being a Mormon. Being a Mormon makes my life choices so much easier to make. I know I can talk to Christ, and God whenever I want and I know that when I make a decision I can feel comfort in knowing that I didn't make it on my own. I know I have leaders, family, friends, neighbors who will always be there when I need help. I love the fact that families are together forever. There is no end to my family. I love the feeling of having the spirit be with you. If the spirit leaves then I know I shouldn't be where I am so then I leave. Spirit makes me feel comfort and love knowing that Christ does care about me. I love the Book of Mormon and how its so much easier to understand. I can relate to it more. I know this church is true. I LOVE being a Mormon. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No we are not required. Boys are strongly encouraged to go. However, if the choose not to go then that is totally fine. We don't treat them differently. It is completely your decision if you want to go or not. Girls don't have to go either. I grew up in a home with two older sisters. One of my sisters got married at 19 which meant she was not going to go on a mission. My other sister is 21 which is the age that she could go on one. She is not married. However, she prayed and asked god if it was the right thing to do. In the end she felt like it wasn't her destiny to go. She is going to teach history next year in a Jr. High. I am going on a mission. I asked god and I felt like it was my path to go on a mission. So going on a mission is not required! Its a choice you make, and God can help you make the choice through prayer, fasting, and reading the scriptures. Show more Show less
