Hi I'm Elena

I'm a Southern girl, born and raised in North Carolina. I love love. I will be a missionary in Honduras. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a girl who loves to smile and laugh. I love music and romance. I played the violin for 8 years and I play the piano. I enjoy running and cooking. I babysit and I am a lifeguard. I love school and developing the relationships I have with people. I think about life a lot. I come from a family of 6, two boys and two girls. I'm excited to serve the Lord as a missionary in a few months!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being Mormon and have never even questioned being of a different faith. I'm not perfect in any way and this church has helped me see that because of God's plan, everyone has the chance to improve, all the time, no matter what. I feel loved when I go to church. I know that there is always hope.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I am working on my personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ because I know that when I feel completely alone, they are always there. I am currently called as a ward missionary and this has taught me to be selfless. Serving others helps us see all the things we have that others don't, and what we should be grateful for.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

We choose not to drink these things because God created us and gave us our bodies. He gave us modern day revelation about what we should do to keep our bodies healthy. Addictive substances take away our ability to control ourselves and our choices so we stay away from anything that could harm us. Show more Show less
