Hi I'm Sister Moy

I grew up in London, I have been called to serve as a full time missionary in Philippines Bacolod, I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised just outside of London. I have four siblings, three younger and one older. I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the Philippines Bacolod Mission. I absolutely love being a missionary and acting as a representative of my Saviour Jesus Christ. To have the chance to immerse myself in bringing forth an increase of purpose and goodness in this world is something I am very thankful for. Serving a mission is the best and most worthwhile thing I have ever done! I love this gospel, and I love my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

My mum was a convert to the church, so she single-handedly raised all of my siblings within the gospel. Although I was born and raised in the church it was still necessary for me to gain a strong testimony of my own, so before I was baptised at the age of eight, I remember praying to heavenly father asking for the a feeling of confirmation that Joseph Smith really did restore the gospel of Jesus Christ. In response i received an absolute answer that i was a part of the true church. This response wasn't something that I necessarily heard in words, but it was a warm comforting feeling that I was able to recognise as Heavenly Father. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it gives me strength to continue living in the world but not of the world, and I am always reminded that I am never alone.I will always be grateful to my mum for being strong enough to stay firm in her principles and beliefs and touching the lives of those around her through the way she lives her life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day of my life through upholding my standards and beliefs. At the school I attend me and my younger brother are the only Mormons, because of this we are the only link they have to the gospel. It it is crucial we allow the light of Christ to shine through us. I try to be a positive example of the gospel at home and at school by being open about the things I believe. I have had many students and teachers ask me about the different aspects of the church. I am extremely grateful for these missionary experiences and try my best to answer in such a way that they are able to relate to. I also live my faith through studying my scriptures and attending church on Sundays. - I now live my faith each day as a missionary through striving for exact obedience and doing all I can to emulate our Saviours example. I have a true desire to bring others to the truthfulness of this gospel, and I know that the example I set through the way I live my life each day, will greatly impact the success of that desire. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to focus each and every day on the Lord and his work! That is something I definitely want to always continue beyond my mission.
