Hi I'm Trina

I am a convert, a military wife, mother of six kids, and I am Mormon!!

About Me

I am military wife and mother to five girls and little boy. I love to cook, a huge football fan, make people laugh, serve others, my joy in life is to make people laugh. My motto is "Share a Smile "

Why I am a Mormon

I was very overwhelmed and angry. I started to drink to fill the void and deal with the pain of filling a of wanting something greater spiritual in my life. While my void was getting bigger. Something was tugging on my heart to find a church. I joined five different churches. Each one at the time I thought was for me. But, each time I felt myself more lost and looking for something that wasn't being filled. My drinking continue to spiral out of control. I got feeling and warning that this is not what He wanted for me and this is not good for me and my family, and I will find the right church. A week later, my neighbor said come to my church, she said I am mormon and you will love it. I walked in and felt the spirit. The most important moment was in Gospel Principles class. The teacher answered all my questions and did make me feel welcomed. And it clicked, this is the church for me!! I went home, with this void filled I knew this was the church for me. I wanted to know more. When the missionaries came for there first, they was shocked cause. I told them I wanted to be baptized. They were shocked cause they had this whole thing planned and I ruined it. lol...Then they showed the video of Joseph Smith, tears filled my eyes cause I knew he felt what I felt and this was the TRUE church. My baptism day finally came. And it felt like a Homecoming or Welcome Home. My void was finally filled, I knew Heavenly Father wanted me to stop drinking so I could join the church. I have been sober now for THREE years And I am so thankful cause the church and the Gospel save my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example. I am the only Mormon in my family. I strive to be an example to them by letting my actions speak louder than words. By serving others, it is such a blessing to know when you help others that the greatest gift is that's what Heavenly Father wants you to. Visiting Teaching is great opportunity to connect with Sister having an one on one connection. Praying and lifting them up when they need to be. Most of all, I realize that I have to work everyday with my relationship with Heavenly Father. Strive to be like him in all my actions.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We increase our faith by a couple ways. First, all you need is a mustard seed of faith!! That tiny seed is all we need. By reading the scriptures help us see our ancestors before us have faith and strengthen their testimony. By believing in Christ, following his commandments, striving to be just like him. Service! I can't explain the joy I receive by helping others and see his faith in your works. Show more Show less
