Hi I'm McKenna

I love life...I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest of three sisters, who are my best friends! I love to sing. I have done it my entire life. I also love to write, act, dance, and enjoy life! There is so much to be grateful for! I love my family, I love my friends, I love to learn and I try every day to be the best person I can be. Life has not been without its challenges. I have so many weaknesses, sometimes it's hard to keep trying to be better, but I have firm hope that change is possible through my Savior, Jesus Christ! I am made strong in Him, and through this faith I love more, help more and hope more!

Why I am a Mormon

I guess the simple answer is that I can feel the love of my savior so clearly because of this gospel. There have been trying times in my life that have brought me to my knees, and I'm so grateful for the gift of prayer. I don't know how I would have survived those trials if I wasn't able to turn to Christ and feel His comfort. I know He loves each of us so much. He knows us. He died for us so that we could one day live with Him and our Father in Heaven again. He never gives us a trial that we cannot overcome through Him. I wish everyone could feel the comfort and love that the gospel brings into my life.

How I live my faith

I KEEP TRYING! I never give up! I know that having faith in Jesus Christ means knowing that positive change is possible. I am weak, but I am made strong through Him! I also always try to see the good in people, which I would say is "living my faith." I don't think there's a person I've ever met that I couldn't find a least a little good in them. If moving around so much has taught me anything, it's that everyone comes from such different backgrounds. You never know what's going on in a person's life. You can't judge someone just because they do things differently than you. The Lord loves us all equally--who am I to judge, when I, myself, am flawed? I share my faith! I love to learn about the beliefs of other people, and when people have questions about what I believe, I am always excited to answer! How could I keep this to myself?

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

As someone who has served a mission, I can tell you exactly why--we love Jesus Christ! We love His gospel. We have seen the light it brings into our lives, and we want to share it with you. We don't merely want people baptized or in church...we want to see the light of Christ shining in everyone! When you have something irresistible, don't you want to share it with those you love? Missionaries, though young, have received an answer (through personal prayer) that this gospel and it's teachings are true. We've been so blessed and missionaries (and members) are searching every day for families who need this light in their lives. It's hope, it's peace, it's happiness and security, it's everything that people need in a world that is ever-more dangerous. Show more Show less
