Hi I'm Kelsie

I grew up in a small town in Idaho, working on a dairy farm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up being the only girl in my family with three brothers. I have one older brother and two younger brothers. All of us kids grew up working on our family dairy farm as we went through school. Once I finished high school, I attended cosmetology school and I am now a licensed cosmetologist. Being a hairdresser is something I enjoy because I get to talk to different people all day long and meet people I may not otherwise. I also work at the local grocery store and enjoy interacting with the community there as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who fortunately already knew of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was blessed to have the blessings of learning about the Gospel every Sunday all growing up. My parents as well as ward members taught me well and I made the decision to be baptized at the age of 8. Often individuals who were born into the church go through a period in their lives where they question if they really believe the church is true or not, often we fall away. I, like many others, went through this phase of my life. But with lots of prayer and scripture study, I knew without a doubt that the church was true. And I know that when I am following Heavenly Fathers counsel I am truly the happiest I can be. Yes, there are still hardships in life but simply knowing of the truthfulness of the Gospel makes everything bearable and I know I can get through anything with the help of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints every Sunday. I love attending Sacrament meeting and listening to other members of the church as they share their testimonies and experiences. I also enjoy when I get the chance to be a substitute teacher and teach the little kids in primary about things such as prayer, families, and the Book of Mormon stories.
