Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in sunny California. I am a wife and mother. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a wife and mother. I am an ply child and my husband is the youngest of 12. I love my big crazy family. My husband and I love to go on outdoor adventures and take our baby boy along for the ride. We enjoy traveling and seeing the beautiful things Heavenly Father created for us all. I also love to read, cook and most of all bake. Making food makes me happy, making good food however makes me all the happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up having faith in a higher power, I knew of Christ, but never really developed a true testimony. I attended different churches, and felt the spirit in many of the places I went, but it never felt right, never felt whole. By chance, I met the missionaries. They had thought I was already a member and asked me what ward I belonged to? Well, this was completely foreign to me. "Whats a ward?", I asked. Its a congregation basically. So they answered my question as to what a ward was, and they answered so many more of my questions. I was challenged to read a small section of The Book of Mormon. I read the whole book! I found that I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I was soon baptized as a member and have felt a presence of peace and happiness even in troubled times ever since.

How I live my faith

I participate in a woman's society called relief society and love getting girl time and advice, trading recipes with others and serving sisters in my community the best I possibly can. I visit teach, meaning I spend a little bit of my time getting to know a few specific women, and we've all become great friends. I also do what I can to support my husband in his calling in the church. He serves his time teaching the young men in our ward and participating in boy scouts, so I do a lot of baking. I also strive each day to be better. I am no where near perfect but I certainly hope to become more Christ like.
