Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a teacher. I'm a learner. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a fraternal twin and the third of nine children. I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and had brain surgery when I was two days away from being 17. I graduated from college with a degree in Elementary Education and I'm currently teaching at a special needs preschool. I am a proud military wife. My husband and I are expecting our first baby; we can't wait!! I love spending time with my husband and family, being outdoors, reading, playing games, watching sports, sleeping in and making cookies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I am a Mormon because I love my family, and I want to be with them forever, not just for this life. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that he died for me, and that He lives. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father and I want to serve Him and to live with Him again. I am a Mormon because I believe that revelation has not ceased, and that Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today and forever. I am a Mormon because I have prayed and studied the scriptures and have had my own confirmation that this is the Lord's true church.

How I live my faith

Every month I meet with at least five women in our congregation in their homes and see how they're doing, how their families are doing, and find out any way that I can help. Every other other month, I plan activities for the women in our congregation where we get together for an uplifting evening and often do some type of service. I also have the opportunity once every few months to teach a gospel lesson to the women 18 and older in our congregation. I love visiting with the members in our congregation and meeting new people in the community and serving them.
