Hi I'm Tucker Wayne Egbert

I have lived in Teton Valley my whole life. I love the outdoors. I am serving a mission in the West Indies. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an outdoorsy type of guy who has grown up surrounded by beautiful mountains and wildlife. I love music! I play the guitar and the piano and love to listen to any music that has a good message or a great guitar riff :). I love to be active. I played basketball throughout Middle School but got too wrapped up in my academics in High School to make time for sports. However, I still love to play any kind of sport that pushes me to my limits. I love to work. I have worked construction with my dad, worked dry-wall, and have worked with food for the past two years. My parents have instilled in me a hard work ethic that I exhibit with every challenge that comes my way. One of those challenges was my personal decision to serve a mission. I graduate from high school on May 31, 2013 and enter the Provo MTC on July 3, 2013 after which I will serve in the West Indies mission for two years. I am excited about my opportunity to serve my god amongst such a wonderful people and only hope that I will be able to be the missionary that he would have me be. After I get home from my mission, I plan on going to school and studying in the field of law enforcement or sociology. I want to be able to help people. But until then, I will continue to take my days one step at a time, and love every second of this wonderful life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be happy. I am a Mormon because I want to be forgiven for my sins. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and KNOW it to be the true word of God. I am a Mormon because I have felt the spirit in my live and have felt the joy and comfort it gives. I am a Mormon because I want to live with my Father in Heaven again. I am a Mormon because I couldn't imagine what my life would be like if I wasn't; nor do I want to. I know that this church is the true church of God that has been restored to us through the prophet Joseph Smith in these Latter days. I know that if you truly study and ponder the Book of Mormon, you will feel the spirit manifest to you of its divinity. I love my savior Jesus Christ and look forward to the day when he will come again to this Earth, where I can tearfully look into his eyes and say "thank you." Come and learn of these things, and feel of the endless joy that it can bring into your life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the small and simple things that are taught to us through the scriptures. I try to serve others whenever the opportunity presents itself, I read my scriptures and study other church writings, every night and day I humbly bow my head in prayer and give thanks to my heavenly father, and finally; I try to love everyone. I believe that God has instilled in us certain strengths that would help us throughout this life, and I believe that mine is that I am able to love people. In the battle against the temptations of this world, we are all on the same team. So who am I to look down on my teammates? We are all God's children and should all be treated as such.
