Hi I'm Bryce

I am called to serve the Cape Verde, Praia Mission. I leave Aug 7th. I love this gospel! I can't wait to share it!

About Me

Whats up? There are many things that I like to do. I love to hang with my friends and shoot hoops. I also like to play the guitar and making up songs with my friends. Pretty much everything i do , i have to have people with me! I simply love people. I like making them laugh, making them feel important etc. I also have many interests, I admire different cultures and languages. Also, Music is a huge part of my life and I don't know where I would be with out it! My hopes for the future is to build a humanitarian foundation and clean up the oil spills around the Atlantic Ocean. I have been prepping my self for that dream by introducing my school to a service club called Interact. In this club we performed many service projects to better our community. After I serve a two year mission in Cape Verde, Praia, I will be attending college in Southern Utah, there I will be a Presidential Ambassador and serve the school the best I can.

Why I am a Mormon

Well to tell you the truth, I was brought up in this church by my family. But that doesn't meant that its not my choice to go. I love going, its as simple as that. There is nothing in this world that makes me happier. If you really do study this gospel, you will find that it is perfect and that there is no flaws. The reason is because its foundation was constructed by our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ, through Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and was instructed to build this church. I also know that he translated the Book of Mormon to the fullness of truth. The Book of Mormon is the most true books I have ever read. There is a special spirit that you receive while reading it. If you haven't read it or have haven't heard of it, I extend my invite to you to get it, read it, and know it. And when your done ask if its true, He will provide an answer of the truthfulness of it. Also I am eternally grateful for the love and patience Heavenly Father and his son show for me each and everyday. I love this gospel and the influence it has in my life. This gospel is the only way we can receive eternal happiness and salvation. I testify that this is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

There are many ways that I like to show that I am Mormon. I always try to show my love and compassion for the people around me and make each one of them feel that they are important. Also, I took four years of Religion class called seminary in my high school years. Also in my church, I have helped plan a Trek across the Wyoming plains to simulate how our ancestors did so many years ago for the freedom of religion. Also i have the opportunity to serve a full time mission in the country of Cape Verde. There, I will have the chance to live the gospel, and to go to families and bring this wonderful gospel into their lives and give them hope again for eternal happiness. I go into sick or disable peoples home and talk to them about their lives and help them in any way I can. It is amazing to see how these peoples spirits change just with this faith. Its seriously humbling. There are countless times of when I have showed my faith, but it does matter that I know that this faith is sure and true.

What is the First Vision?

Bryce
During the 1800's there was much confusion about religion. During that time there was a young man by the name of Joseph Smith. During the excitement of what church to join, he was confused on what one to be a part of. One night, when he was reading in the book of James he read a scripture that says, " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of god, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" (James 1:5) In the spring of 1820, Joseph was willing to accept what the scripture told him. He went into a grove of trees and knelt down and prayed vocally, and asked Him what church he should join. At that moment our beloved Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him. " When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" Joesph was told to not join any of the churches, ever since the authority of god was taken from the earth. After the vision, he was guided to begin the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
