Hi I'm Rebecca

I love music. I love the outdoors. I want to be a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Before my mission, I was studying Theatre Arts Education at Brigham Young University. I have two older brothers and two younger sisters. Some of my favorite things to do with my family is play games, travel, hike, and play the piano and sing. I dream of traveling around the world. So far the farthest I have gone is Canada, but I hope to travel farther one day! I love adventure. My current adventure is my mission, where I get to teach the people in Independence, Missouri about the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I love to see the joy and peace that the gospel can bring to people. I love to see the change that the gospel brings to all types of people and the comfort that it can bring in times of sorrow. I love that the gospel gives those who have made mistakes the opportunity to be redeemed. I love the fact that nobody is to far gone to accept Christ as their Savior. I love how the gospel focuses on the family. I love the fact that one day I will see my family members that have passed on. I love that everyone has a chance to hear about the gospel, both the living and the dead. I love the fact that we have the chance to have his gospel on this earth today. I love being Mormon.

How I live my faith

Everything that I do relates back to my faith. Although I am young I have participated in many different ways. One of them is through music. Growing up I played the piano and loved to sing. I also loved to help others with music through teaching and accompanying musical numbers. Over the years I have had opportunities to use music not only in church settings but also at school, homeless shelters, charity functions, etc. I have realized the power that music can have to bring joy to others. I am so grateful for the talents that I have and my chance to share them with others. I have also had the chance to do a lot of different service from volunteering at a refugee camp, gathering food for the walk and knock, helping out kids with cancer, clearing out parks, etc. All of these activities have kept me busy, but have helped me to see what I really want with the rest of my life. Doing these service projects reminds me of my Savior and all that he has done for us.
