Hi I'm Zach Watts

I grew up in Utah. I'm a FIFA Champion. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love playing sports and I love being outside. Some of my favorite things to do are golf, basketball, football and soccer. I received my eagle scout award a couple of years ago so that explains why I love the outdoors. I recently finished my first year of college so right now I am the typical poor teenager.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith so I do not have some incredible conversion story, but I do have a story of how my grandfather was converted when he was just a young boy. Some 60 years ago four young Elders boarded a ship in Sydney harbor, heading home after serving the Lord for 2 years. Little did they know the effect they would have on my family and generations to come. They taught a 19 year old native born Australian as they sailed to London, England. That young man was my grandfather. After he heard about the Book of Mormon and had the missionary discussions he was baptized in England. He sailed in that same year to America with the missionary that had baptized him. Because of that baptism I am part of the third generation of missionaries, and I am blessed because of the effort of a young Elder sixty years ago. The efforts of those missionaries have lead to some of the happiest moments in my life. I am a Mormon because I have found out for myself that this is the restored true church on the earth today. I know that the teachings of the Book of Mormon are true and I know that it contains many answers if we are willing to search for them. I know that the Atonement is real, and if we willing to change that we can be forgiven for our sins. I cannot think of anything I would rather be doing than preparing for a mission. I cannot wait to serve and I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of the biggest decisions I have made in my life, is my decision to serve a mission. I have been called to serve in Uruguay and I leave quite soon. I cannot wait to fully live my faith while I am on a two year mission. Something that has helped me prepare for my mission was my decision to attend seminary all through high school and attend institute while I was at college. The things that I have learned from seminary and institute have really helped me understand why this church is so important and I know that the message I share with the people of Uruguay will be equally important.
