Hi I'm Malia Sooaemalelagi

Hello, I am from Canada preparing to serve in the Russia, Moscow Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Canada and I don't really like to talk about me as much as I like to hear about others. Something about me then I guess is that I enjoy hearing different perspectives and ideas of life. I like listening to stories and I like discussing the meaning of life, the reasons why we do what we do. I like adventures and so I like to do and try all things. Something that I am working on is maybe actually sticking to one thing so that I can better develop the talents to hopefully be of some help or use to those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

In the Book of Mormon there is this section where a prophet is trying his best to teach the people the gospel. Many times he would said the word "plain", that he teaches these people that it is plain unto them so that they may not err. That is exactly what I feel about this gospel. It is plain, easy, simple to understand. So much so that even children can have a grasp of the gospel. I am a Mormon because the spirit has witnessed the truth of these plain and simple things to my heart and mind. It feels right and it logically makes sense to me. It answers all my questions in life of why I am here, where I am going, and my purpose here on Earth. I know that by following principles and precepts found in scriptures and from ancient and modern day prophets, that there is no way that I will go wrong in life and that I will one day reach my ultimate goal of returning home to my Father In Heaven. I know that this is the true gospel of Christ and I know that the spirit speaks the truth and that all who have a pure desire can receive answers to their questions.

How I live my faith

I use to think that the topic of faith was just something to smolder over, that the scriptures were just cool stories that seemed unreal. With time, prayer, and study, I have gained the witness and understanding that the words that we read in the scriptures are real. I have come to understand that the gospel isn't rocket science, that it is simply taking something that was bad to good and taking the good to make it even better to the point of perfection. The gospel and my faith helps me to be better, just a little bit better then the other day. Seeing as I am on a mission we have a routine of praying many times throughout the day. We have the time to read and feast upon the words of Christ daily and to share what we have learned with those around us. My goal is to continue to continuously throughout my life live the fundamentals of the gospel of prayer, scripture study,
